The first international training event of KROS project, took place on the 29th January 2020 in Barcelona, in the premises of STUCOM school. CECE, in collaboration with Escola Sant Josep Terrassa, organized the event that counted with the participation of teachers and students from Romania, Italy, Turkey and Hungary. The event started with the registration of the participants, and with the introduction to the project and its educational approach presented by the coordinator organization, Road Safety Institute (RSI) Panos Mylonas. Following, the event also had the participation of two Road Safety organizations from Spain: Aprovita and Municipal Police of Terrassa. Aprovita gave a workshop about first aid measures in case of a road safety accident. The Municipal Police of Terrassa, explained the actual context of the road safety education in Spain and presented several activities that address the road safety issue.
CECE and Escola Sant Josep, presented some of the activities developed during the project and possible ways to implement it with students in a school context. Last, but not least, a workshop was delivered by Road Safety Institute, the coordinator of KRoS project, where participants had the possibility to learn how to engage students with the road safety activities, and had the chance to experiment the virtual reality activities that were developed under the project by the partner Omegatech.
